Magento Paypal – How to Change the Sort Order
Paypal has always had a prominent place in Magento, and even more so after Magento had been purchased by Paypal.
By default the Paypal buttons show up as the first payment option for your customers, and you may want to offer it as an additional payment method, but not your primary one.
The latest versions of Magento Community and Magneto Enterprise provide a convenient way to set the sort order for all payment methods.
For most Magento payment methods the sort order is right in the main configuration panel as shown below for the check /money order payment method.
For Paypal in Magento this option also exists, but it’s buried in the large Paypal options menu. The Magneto Paypal sort order option can be found for each of the Paypal services under “configure”, as shown below.
The result is as you would expect, the Paypal payment option moves to the desired position.
