There is big news for the bug hunters, who are participating in the big Magento bug bounty reward program. According to the zed net news adobe has announced that to integrate the magneto bug bounty program into existing vulnerabilities platform which offer nothing to the bug hunters. That was somehow sad news for the bug hunter community who were the part of this program.
This bug hunting community is in uproar the adobe decision of ending this Magento bug hunting platform program which was going for past three years. A bad news for them. This news become mess one of the official of the adobe posted on the page of bug community that adobe is ending this Magento bug hunting program on 15 September.
Describing about the different between BBP and VDP experts were saying that. The bug hunter receives monetary rewards and money through BBP reporting. But in case of VDP they don’t offer such rewards for the bug hunters.
Adobe made their statement clear to the bug bounty community
Microsoft discloses the whole details for the security bugs.
Taking about the adobes rule and regulations they were stick to their general policy. They publish their news on the front page of hacker’s one page. According to their standard policies they have ended the entire monetary rewards program in the previous last year in august. Microsoft states such statements like,
“Currently, we at Adobe invest significant resources both internally as well as through consulting and crowd-sourced engagements, including penetration testing, with the security research community on extensive testing as a critical component of the Adobe Secure Product Lifecycle (or SPLC),” an Adobe spokesperson told ZDNet via email last night.
“We acknowledge and give recognition to researchers and other external resources that provide vulnerability reports in our security bulletins and a variety of other means,” the company added.
